Examine those in your social circle who are more popular than others.

Study them.

See where they go.

Observe what they do and how they behave.

Analyze what they wear.

Listen to what they talk about.

These people are your role models. Without “copying them” (no one likes a copycat!), try to be more like them.

What are some other habits of popular people?

Popular people :
* Got that way because they are “the real thing.” They are genuine, true to themselves.

* Are totally consistent in their beliefs and their actions. They are the same people in private as they are in public.

* Do what they want to be doing in life. They enjoy various pursuits and hobbies and live with purpose.

* Are direct and honest, while always being conscious of the feelings of others.

* Are never “phony” or “fake.”

Can you honestly say the same about yourself?

What’s the secret of popularity?
What makes some people so likeable and others not liked at all?

Popular people:
*Always have a ready smile for everyone.

*Show genuine interest in others and what they have to say.

*Remember that a person’s name is the sweetest and most important sound to them! Popular people call others by their names, and do it often.

*Are good listener who encourage others to talk about themselves.

*Make the person they are speaking to feel important and do it sincerely. They always make the conversation about YOU, not about themselves!

Can you ever live down a mistake that might be making you unpopular?

YES! Of course you can!

The first step along the road to popularity is honestly admitting that there might be areas of your personality, wardrobe, and “looks” that could use a little improvement.

No one is perfect, and most of us have at least a few quirks that might lessen our chances of fitting in with the popular crowd.

It’s only when we face this fact honestly that we can begin to learn How to Be Popular.

If you’re not popular, it’s important to examine the possible reasons why.

There could be many reasons, of course.
* Do you suffer from body odor?
* Do you have acne?
* Are you particularly over- (or under-) weight?
* Are you class clown (prctice inappropriate humor)?

Probably not, since the above are all easily remedied through cosmetic products, diet and exercise, and self-control.

If you answered no to the above questions, then your case of unpopularity is more serious.

Your unpopularity might be something you brought upon yourself.

Suppose you once did something horrible, something that made you unpopular. What can you do about it? Can you ever live it down?

Let’s begin by determining your level of popularity, or lack thereof:

Ask yourself how others in your social sphere perceive you.

Do they know who you are? If so, how do they treat you?

Do they make rude remarks about you behind your back, or to your face?

Do they ignore you?

Do others include you in their outings and activities, inviting you to social events or occasions?

Judging by the behaviour of others around you, you should be able to tell whether you are liked, merely tolerated or totally unpopular.

If you are merely tolerated or totally unpopular, it is time to take action.

Well it’s basically based on one of Meg Cabot’s novel, so almost all of this things are for girls. But, like I said..almost..So you can basically sort it out and choose which fits you perfectly. All credits goes for her and I’ve categorized it specifically.

POPULAR: adj. Widely liked or appreciated; liked by acquaintances; sought after for company.

Popularity.
We all want it. Why? Because being popular means being liked. Everyone wants to be liked.

Sadly, however, not all of us are.

What do popular people have in common that makes them all so popular?

They all have:
* A friendly way about them
* An eagerness to pitch in and help get the job done
* An interest in everything that goes on at work or school
* A look that’s fresh and neat

These aren’t traits popular people were born with. They’ve cultivated the characteristics that make them so popular…

…and you can, too, by following the tips in this book!
